  • When does the SAT Workshop Series take place?

    The workshop series will run for 6 weeks, taking place each Saturday from October 19, 2024, through November 23, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

  • Where will the workshops be held?

    The workshops will be held at the YMCA – 4th Floor, located at 1409 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.

  • What do I need to do to prepare for the first session?

    Please complete the following steps to be fully prepared: Join the DST Scholars Academy Khan Academy Course: Visit www.khanacademy.org/join and enter the class code: 5VUM2RFK. Log in to your College Board Account: Ensure you have access to your account or create one if needed. You can visit College Board for more details. Complete Practice Test 1: Once logged into your College Board account, go to the “My Practice” section and complete Practice Test 1, which serves as your pre-test. Register for the Academic Strides Learning Platform: Follow this link (https://academicstrides.thinkific.com/enroll/3151627?price_id=4030301) Academic Strides Learning Platform, to register for the platform we’ll use during the course. Come ready to learn with a phone, tablet, or laptop.

  • What technology should I bring to the workshop?

    Please bring a phone, tablet, or laptop to each session to access course materials and engage with digital tools we’ll be using.

  • How do I access the Khan Academy SAT materials?

  • What if I don't have a College Board account?

    If you don’t have an account, visit College Board to create one. If you’re unsure whether an account has already been created for you, ask your BRACE advisor for assistance.

    Completing Practice Test 1 in the College Board’s “My Practice” section will serve as your pre-test, allowing us to track your progress throughout the workshop series.
